7:00am – Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration
8:00am – Kids’ Fun Runs (1/4 mile for ages 6-under, 1/2 mile for ages 7-12)
8:30am – 5K and 10K Runs

Runner Swag
All participants receive a moisture wicking event t-shirt, commemorative acrylic finisher medal, post-race entertainment, pancakes and fruit, free photo downloads, games and vendor booths.
Course Maps
Awards
Age-group winners earn unique elk-related awards. Second and third place age-group finishers also win unique elk-related awards.
Overall male and female winners in the 5k earn special prizes while top three age group finishers will be awarded custom awards.
Age Divisions
5K/10K – 9 and Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Kids’ Fun Runs – Ages 12 and Younger. Non Competitive (Untimed). Ages 6 & under will run 1/4 mile, ages 7-12 will run 1/2 mile. Entry includes a short sleeve cotton t-shirt and medal for all finishers.
Beneficiary
Proceeds from the Running of the Elk benefit the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation, a non-profit created to ensure that all Elk Grove children have an equal opportunity to be involved in sports. Fed.
